If you follow the Rams, this one's worth repeating: Highland (5-5) beat Lake City (6-1) 31-0 in the first round of the 6A state playoffs, its first home playoff win in six years. Senior quarterback Jacob Vincent threw three touchdown passes, matching his season high.

Highland led 24-0 at the half, and Lake City had trouble moving the ball on the ground or through the air. At the half, both teams stayed on the field for the "Archer play," a Lake City tradition that lets senior running back Archer James, a Pocatello native, score.

  • Cedric Mitchell: 17 carries, 104 yards, six catches
  • Steele Hoopes: three catches, 73 yards, two touchdowns
  • Bridger Hanks: 46-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead
  • Quinn Jeppesen: 11-yard touchdown run in the final 3 minutes
