  • A local couple approaching the first anniversary of Los Gavilanes’ second location have been serving local favorites like the Seafood Tower and Molcajete Mexicano at their Chubbuck restaurant — located at 140 West Chubbuck Road — where community members share quality meals.  East Idaho News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On Christmas Day, eastern Idaho set record high temperatures with Pocatello at 57°F, Idaho Falls at 52°F, Challis at 48°F, and Burley tying its record—details shared by the local National Weather Service, which noted the warmth left mountain snow scarce.  East Idaho News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • City officials are asking public input until Thursday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. (MT) on a grant application to improve trails at Upper City Creek trailhead; current Phase I improvements like a new toilet and parking lot updates should finish in summer, with construction to begin in 2027 if funded.  Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
