ECONOMY NEWS

  • AAA Idaho reports the state’s average gas price is now $3.11 as recorded Monday and hints prices could drop below $3 soon - lower crude oil costs and increased supply point to relief during the holiday rush. Local drivers could see falling prices this week.  East Idaho News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Idaho State University, the Idaho National Lab, and E-cyclers of Idaho will host a public recycling event on Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pond Student Union Building, where officials will collect unwanted electronics (such as computers, cellphones, and TVs) for recycling into valuable materials.  KPVI

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Bureau of Land Management has cut personal-use permit fees to $1 as part of holiday affordability measures to help Idaho residents enjoy public lands and support wildfire prevention efforts this winter.
