- ➤ A decades-old Christmas Night Lights Parade will start Pocatello's Christmas season on November 29 with veterans honor guard and police leading more than 100 brightly lit floats along Main Street. Stephanie Palagi of Historic Downtown Pocatello said float registrations are due by Wednesday and urged residents to avoid parking along the route—attendees should bundle up for the cold weather. East Idaho News
- ➤ A local Secret Santa will deliver $1 million in gifts to deserving people in eastern Idaho each day from now until the end of the year—this effort includes a surprise visit to Brenda and Henry Cieslak, a couple who have overcome serious challenges after a Black Hawk crash and ongoing illness. The donation is designed to offer holiday relief and celebrate their enduring strength. East Idaho News

- ➤ Magellan of Idaho will cut Medicaid mental health services on Dec. 1 — including peer support and home-visit teams— as the state works to balance a budget shortfall. Health providers warn the changes will reduce treatment for people with severe mental illness and may lead to more costly hospital and jail expenses. East Idaho News
