- ➤ Today the Salvation Army has started its annual Red Kettle Campaign in Blackfoot by partnering with the Southeastern Idaho Community Action Agency to help people in need. The campaign aims to raise $20,000 with (80% allocated for food, housing, and transportation assistance and 20% supporting the Salvation Army). KPVI
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Local performers and Gregory Jon Phelps—a New York City-trained actor—will perform Ann Hoste’s adaptation of A Christmas Carol at the Bistline Theater this weekend. The production features live sound effects and a wind machine to create a magical experience for families during the Festival of Trees. East Idaho News

- ➤ Over the weekend a ribbon cutting at the Idaho Central Credit Union headquarters in Chubbuck launched the 'Light the World' Giving Machines where Governor Brad Little and local organizations attended—community members can use the machines every day from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. until November 30. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Idaho State University's mascot, Benny the Bengal, made a comeback at Saturday's final home football game with a new look (vibrant Roarange fur and a fierce expression) that delighted fans during a performance with the cheer and dance squads. The school will mark its 125th anniversary with upcoming appearances by Benny at basketball games, the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 2, and Winter Commencement on December 20 while two students received a $5,000 scholarship for their education. - ➤ Idaho State University Men’s Basketball will hold a charity game on November 21 at 1 p.m. against Justice University—fans will have free admission and are encouraged to donate canned or shelf-stable food to support Benny's Pantry and help students and families facing food insecurity. KPVI
