- ➤ Wild turkeys have been plentiful in southeastern Idaho as stores offer a free bird with $150 in groceries—indicating a commercial shortage for Thanksgiving. Bill Schiess saw large flocks foraging along the South Fork of the Snake River and in nearby towns, giving residents plenty to watch before the holiday. East Idaho News

- ➤ According to AAA Idaho, regular gas in Idaho fell to $3.33 per gallon this week — a drop of one cent from last week and 13 cents from a month ago — and experts said gas prices might decrease further if crude remains below $60 per barrel. East Idaho News
