- ➤ Residents in Pocatello have decorated their homes for the annual Halloween contest — they compete for the Golden Pumpkin along with Creepiest Curb Appeal and Spooktacular Spirit awards. Nominations will close on October 20th and winners will be announced on October 23rd. Local News 8

- ➤ The Idaho Museum of Natural History at the Idaho State University Quad is hosting Croc-n-Roll: Fall Fossil Fest today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—visitors will see a 3-D printed skull recreation of an ancient, dinosaur-eating crocodile and hear researchers explain fossils discovered 15 to 20 years ago in eastern Idaho. - ➤ Highland Rams beat Rigby Trojans 2-1 in a second extra-time period Thursday night, keeping their state tournament bid alive. They must win a winner-take-all game against Canyon Ridge on Saturday at 3 p.m.—a game that will decide the district’s final berth—after a home loss earlier this week. East Idaho News
- ➤ Pocatello High School ended a three-game title loss to Century when junior Kevin Porter scored on a free kick in the second extra period—both teams played hard with three yellow cards and a red card issued. The Thunder will play in the state tournament at Columbia High next week. East Idaho News
- ➤ The Highland Rams crushed the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks in the district championship at Highland High School, winning their sixth title in a row when five players, including senior Peyton Looney with a hat trick and co-captain Devree Bell with two goals, scored on Thursday night. The team will advance to the state tournament opening next Thursday—bracket details will be announced Sunday morning by Athletic Director Travis Bell. East Idaho News
