- ➤ Pocatello Animal Services partnered with Phil Meador Subaru for a Pupkin adoption event as part of Subaru Loves Pets month—adopters chose their own fees, received an adoption kit, and spent one-on-one time with pets despite cold, rainy weather. East Idaho News
- ➤ Valley Mission is hosting a 24‑hour event called Conversations on a Bench this Thursday and Friday to change how people see homelessness in Pocatello—starting at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at 422 North Arthur Ave the event will be livestreamed and feature one‑on‑one talks with local leaders, donors and former program participants. - ➤ Bannock County announced it is updating the Area of City Impact boundaries—areas used to plan roads, utilities, and services—to manage future growth. Public hearings will be held on October 21 at the county courthouse with the Pocatello area hearing set for 2:00 p.m. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
- ➤ Ann Swanson, a lifelong Pocatello resident and Pocatello High School graduate who studied as a Fulbright Scholar in Spain, held an informational meeting at Barricade in Historic Downtown Pocatello on Sunday as she ran for Seat 6 on the City Council—she focused on the shortage of affordable and starter homes and has knocked on over 700 doors to learn local concerns.
