- ➤ Guy Nason is planning to open Nason House of Hope, a new nonprofit refuge for struggling youth at the corner of Poleline and Fir Streets in Pocatello, and he is hosting a Family Fun Fall Festival on Oct. 4 from noon to 7 p.m. at Mystic Gardens—designed to raise funds and awareness as he works to launch the facility by early 2026. - ➤ The Pocatello Starbucks will close as part of a company turnaround that will see hundreds of stores in the U.S., Canada and Europe shut down—resulting in 900 nonretail layoffs—as the business shifts focus to core operations. Idaho State Journal
