- ➤ Idaho State held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the ISU School of Nursing’s new simulation center funded by a grant and a million-dollar investment from Portneuf Health Trust (with support from the Idaho Workforce Development Council) that offers hands-on training with AI mannequins. The center will let healthcare students in Pocatello practice realistic patient care before starting their careers. KPVI

- ➤ Firefighters fully contained a wildfire that burned 18.5 acres between Firth and Interstate 15 this past weekend—saving the Hells Half Acre lava flow from further damage. Idaho State Journal

- ➤ The city of Pocatello completed safety improvements near Green Acres Elementary School—finishing the East Oak Street Child Pedestrian Safety Improvements project at East Oak Street and Hyde Avenue—to install flashing beacons, ADA ramps, upgraded sidewalks, and improved curb and gutter features that make walking and biking safer for students.
