- ➤ At Eastern Idaho State Fair on August 30, La Casita Mexican Food's La Quesabirria won first place in the Best New Entrée contest and drew long lines from fairgoers. The dish is made with crispy tortillas, marinated meat, melted cheese, rice, lime, cilantro, and onion + a warm cup of consommé for dipping. East Idaho News

- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game announced new Canada goose hunt boundaries in Areas 3 and 4 that change parts of Bear Lake and Caribou counties and adjust season dates for fall hunting; hunters should check updated rules available at Idaho Fish and Game offices + on the GoOutdoorsIdaho app before heading out. This measure follows input from hunters who favored additional late-year hunting opportunities. East Idaho News
