- ➤ Over the weekend, the first ever Pocatello Potato Festival took place outside the Museum of Clean. The event—organized by the J.R. Simplot Company and My World Discovery Children's Museum—offered free French fries, potato derby car races and other potato-themed activities that brought locals together. KPVI
- ➤ Aiding 2 Adoption Rescue will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, September 13th from 7 to 10 a.m. at the covered pavilion at Optimist Park in Pocatello; guests can buy pancakes, enter raffle drawings, and win prizes donated by local businesses + all proceeds will benefit the nonprofit. - ➤ The Salvation Army Pocatello Corps launched its Drive Away Hunger campaign to raise $25,000 to replace its box truck after it broke down in February. Bryan Makowski said the group now uses its emergency aid van for food donations — this change limits its ability to serve the community at full capacity. Local News 8
