- ➤ On Friday, the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce held its annual Appreciation BBQ lunch to thank hundreds of local businesses—its membership exceeds 800 local organizations. Local News 8
- ➤ The Bureau of Land Management will host a horse adoption event at the East Idaho State Fair on August 30th at 11:30 a.m., and 4-H youths from Oneida to Teton will demonstrate their trained yearling mustang skills on August 29th at 11 a.m. Ten horses will be available for adoption to those who are 18 or older and meet facility requirements. - ➤ The Idaho Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Pocatello family trust in a long-running land dispute — the case had been dismissed by a lower court for the Northgate Parkway project. It now returns to the district court for further review. Local News 8

- ➤ A Pocatello veteran will climb Mount Kilimanjaro on Veterans Day to raise awareness for PTSD—he hopes his climb will show that mental health challenges can be overcome. Idaho State Journal
