Idaho State University experts say high summer heat is stressing fish by lowering oxygen in the water and altering wildlife routines, with Pocatello anglers urged to handle catches gently—measures that may help prevent fish kills and give animals a better chance to build winter reserves. Wildlife now moves early in the morning and later in the day to avoid the heat.

Monday, the Intermountain Gas Company will begin replacing gas lines on Yellowstone Avenue and Siphon Road in Chubbuck (road closures will occur with detours via Abraham Street and Eden Street).
