  • Southeast Idaho Citizens for Democracy will hold a National Day of Action protest at Caldwell Park on July 17 — inviting local residents to join the peaceful event.  Idaho State Journal

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Brad Little proclaimed July 2 as Idaho Wildland Firefighter Day in a statewide proclamation that honored the service of wildland firefighters. The declaration recognized their efforts during wildfire season and aims to raise awareness about the risks they face.  Idaho State Journal
  • The Pocatello Fire Department warns that unauthorized drone flights over active wildfires will ground all firefighting aircraft — including air tankers and helicopters—to protect crucial fire suppression efforts and keep ground crews safe. Officials urge everyone to follow FAA rules to avoid fines and criminal charges.  East Idaho News
