- ➤ Construction at The Optimist Skate Park on 7th Avenue is nearly finished—city officials advise residents to steer clear until the 8,000 square foot facility is complete. They say a grand opening date will be announced soon. KPVI
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Community volunteers and the Idaho State University Theatre Department are presenting School of Rock as part of the Farm Bureau Summer Theatre 2025 season, featuring a 74-person cast—combining local talent with student support. The musical will run from June 26–28 with evening performances starting at 7:30 p.m. Local News 8
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today the Pocatello Water Department begins replacing the water main on South Arthur Ave—from West Whitman to West Terry—in Historic Downtown; the work will cause street closures, parking restrictions and may briefly disrupt water service until it ends in late August. Local News 8
- ➤ Starting July 1, an open burn ban will take effect across Bannock County—covering Inkom, Arimo, Downey, McCammon, Lava, Pocatello Valley, Chubbuck, and Pocatello—and will restrict specific fires to reduce wildfire risks and safeguard air quality. Idaho State Journal
