- ➤ The 121-year-old church at 309 North Garfield was sold to Christ’s Love Vineyard, and new pastors Kimberly and Dustin Andrew are restoring the historic building for worship services and community events—repair work is underway as volunteers are invited to help. A church rummage sale is scheduled for this weekend while traditional Sunday services in July and continuing recovery meetings and art events will reconnect the building with the local community. - ➤ Three individuals were arrested in eastern Idaho for felony methamphetamine trafficking and related drug charges—Pocatello’s Savonte Michael Randolph was stopped on May 22 on I-15 when a traffic stop led to the discovery of 479.9 grams of meth and a THC vape pen, while Adam Jared Reid and Meghann Anne Wagoner were taken during a Monday search warrant near Henderson Canyon in Cedron and face pre-trial hearings on June 24 and July 2, respectively. - ➤ Pocatello and Chubbuck school trustees approved a new rule that bans cellphones during class and requires devices to be turned off and stored—teachers may allow them for academic use and high school students may use phones at lunch—after months of public feedback and state pressure.
