- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game announced nearly 18,000 catchable-size rainbow trout will be stocked in June at various waters including Bannock Reservoir near the County Fairgrounds in Pocatello — and at Edson Fichter Pond — while 1,000 tiger trout will be released at both Montpelier Reservoir and Sheep Creek Reservoir. - ➤ Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad and the City Council will hold a Town Hall meeting on June 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at City Council Chambers at 911 North 7th Avenue — to discuss fireworks safety and enforcement before July festivities. Attendees must sign up to speak and will have two minutes to ask questions — and the meeting will be broadcast on YouTube the following day. Local News 8
- ➤ The City of Pocatello announced the final phase of the Center Street Underpass construction will begin in January 2026 when crews install shoring and build a pedestrian bridge spanning Center Street—this delay was planned to reduce disruptions to Historic Downtown businesses and give contractors more time to secure materials and work in favorable weather.
