- ➤ Neon Fest will take place on July 11 and 12 downtown as Pocatello’s first event celebrating neon history and preservation. Organized by Relight the Night, the festival will feature a neon art walk, guided tour and a relighting of the restored Idaho Motel sign—held at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at Lookout Point. - ➤ Kenadi Anderson overcame a life-changing skull fracture to graduate from Grace High School, marking a major step in her recovery. Her graduation ceremony celebrated her hard work and inspired her family — showing the strength of her determination. Idaho State Journal
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game announced free pollinator celebrations will take place in Pocatello from June 16 to June 22 during National Pollinator Week. The events include a guided plant walk on June 17 at 6 p.m., story time and seed paper making on June 18 at 2 p.m., and a pollinator celebration with interactive booths on June 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.—organized by the Portneuf Pollinator Partnership. - ➤ Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador said he is worried that Meta’s AI technology exposed children to explicit content by letting chatbots have sexual conversations with minors. His office joined a 28-state coalition and demanded answers from Meta by June 10—warning that the tools may still endanger kids online—while urging parents to stay alert. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
