ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game invites community volunteers to survey milkweed patches and track monarch butterfly health from July 1 to Aug. 15. A virtual training webinar is set for June 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. PDT to guide volunteers. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Starting June 1, the City of Pocatello and Bannock County will enforce a burn ban on open burning, recreational fires, and fireworks in WUI areas to reduce wildfire risks. The ban, prompted by dry conditions and warm temperatures, ends Oct. 1. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
- ➤ Idaho Transportation Department will shift traffic to new westbound lanes on US 30 near the I-15 interchange this Saturday afternoon to begin eastbound concrete repairs. Traffic stays one lane each way + Old US 91 closes for detours via I-15B and Hall/East Price Roads until work ends by July. East Idaho News

- ➤ Century High School's boys tennis team won its fifth state title when junior Tiden Lynn clinched a match that gave his team a half-point win over Bishop Kelly at the state meet held at Boise Racquet Club. The title reflects a season built on strong team play. East Idaho News
- ➤ Century High School's Miller-Spicer duo capped an undefeated season by winning the state girls doubles tennis championship on May 30. The senior pair won 29 matches and were named East Idaho Sports girls tennis Co-Players of the Year. East Idaho News
