  • Idaho Power employees cleaned up Restlawn Cemetery in Pocatello yesterday during their annual Power of Community Day—20 team members trimmed grass from headstones to offer a welcome surprise for visiting families.  Local News 8

  • T-Shirts Plus, a long-time business in Pineridge Mall for 44 years, will leave the mall by May 31 & open a new location across from Smith in Chubbuck in June, with owner Floreen Thyberg saying the move marks a fresh start for her team.  KPVI

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The board deferred a cellphone policy decision in Tuesday’s meeting — trustees differed on whether to restrict phone use or allow it during free time and will reconvene on June 17 to choose a policy. Some public comments also urged the board to keep Franklin Middle School’s six-lane athletic track instead of converting it to a three-lane walking path.  East Idaho News

  • City officials said that residents in McCammon and surrounding areas must continue boiling water until at least 9:30 a.m. today—step taken to protect public health.  Idaho State Journal

  • Pocatello Thunder Baseball, PCSD 25 and Rails West Credit Union broke ground on new baseball facilities on May 21 to provide athletes with state-of-the-art amenities. PCSD 25 said the upgrades reflect a commitment to excellence — a step toward bolstering local sports and uniting the community.  Local News 8
