- ➤ On Wednesday morning, Phil Meador Subaru donated $16,500 to Bannock Humane Society as part of its Share the Love program—this donation will fund spay and neuter services and help purchase special kitten food for fosters. KPVI
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ University of Utah Police solved the decades-long missing person case of Douglas Brick — a Pocatello man who left his dorm in 1973 and whose skull fragments were found near campus. The lab confirmed the DNA match and police told his family while planning to return to the area for more evidence as the weather warms. Local News 8
- ➤ University of Utah Police confirmed that skull fragments found in the foothills belong to Pocatello native Douglas Brick, who disappeared on Oct. 12, 1973, after leaving his dorm; an out-of-state lab tested the remains and matched his DNA. Authorities have revisited the cold case and plan to search the area again in warm weather — the family has requested privacy during this time. East Idaho News

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ South Bannock Library District is asking voters on Tuesday to support a permanent override levy that will raise its base budget from $423,995 to $523,995 to maintain staffing, programs and operations across its libraries and Bookmobile—if the measure does not get the needed 55% vote, the district may cut hours or programming. This is the first permanent funding increase request in 20 years and follows last year’s plant facilities levy that helped build the new Inkom Library. East Idaho News
