- ➤ Pocatello Regional Airport will close its main parking lot (for repairs) from Monday, May 18 until June 15, so visitors should use alternative parking areas. KPVI

- ➤ Jon Heder, star of Napoleon Dynamite fame, will headline the Spark of Madness Film Festival later this month in Pocatello, where the inaugural event also welcomes several notable guests. Idaho State Journal

- ➤ College of Eastern Idaho celebrated 626 graduates Tuesday night at Mountain America— marking the record-breaking commencement as the largest class in its history. Post Register
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game will open three access gates at Portneuf WMA on May 15 for motorized travel on Robbers Roost Canyon, Bonneville, and Quinn Creek roads—aligning with Forest Service schedules. Gates will close on Nov. 15 for two roads and on Nov. 30 for Quinn Creek. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Residents may offer feedback on a proposed AI data center during a public hearing today at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 911 North 7th Avenue. The hearing will review a CUP (conditional-use permit) application aimed at securing future development entitlements in the Portneuf Valley. East Idaho News

- ➤ Bannock County will launch a new full-time paramedic crew at the McCammon Fire Station on July 25 to offer faster advanced care to Inkom, Lava Hot Springs, Arimo, Downey and Swan Lake. Volunteer teams will still provide basic life support where needed. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
