The 121-year-old First Congregational United Church of Christ at 309 North Garfield was sold to Christ’s Love Vineyard as its congregation voted to disband and members plan to join other local churches.

Firefighters fought a severe fire in the Michaud Creek area of Fort Hall last night that started at a mobile home and quickly spread to nearby fields and buildings, destroying one mobile home and badly damaging another while two firefighters suffered heat exhaustion — officials say the cause is under investigation.
