- ➤ School District 25 will start its 25th Summer Food Service Program on Monday, June 9 — offering free lunch for kids and $5 meals for adults at set park and school spots in Pocatello and Chubbuck. Meals will be served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. until August 8, except on Independence Day. Local News 8
- ➤ Tuesday evening, Bridle Up Hope held a ribbon cutting to mark the opening of its horse ranch that teaches life skills to girls and women starting at age 12. Program Director Lana Davies said the non-profit, active in Southeast Idaho for four years, will host A Night of Hope on September 17—raising funds for scholarships. KPVI

- ➤ Bonneville County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a local woman after a drunk driving crash (May 5) occurred on E. 1st St. near Amy Ln in Ammon and she reportedly battered emergency room staff. Idaho State Journal
- ➤ During a DUI traffic stop early Saturday morning, a passenger punched a deputy and police arrested two people. Post Register

- ➤ Rock fans in Pocatello will see a heavy metal concert at The Port on Oct. 3 as Mudvayne headlines its L.D. 50 25th Anniversary Tour with support from Static-X and Vended—tickets went on sale May 6 through Citi presale and additional sales open May 9—and county event coordinator Scott Crowther said more shows may be added this fall. - ➤ Mudvayne will perform their acclaimed debut album at The Port in Pocatello on Friday, October 3—joined by special guests Static-X and Vended. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 9 at 10 a.m. on ETIX. Local News 8
- ➤ Two Pocatello residents will receive the Esto Perpetua Award today—recognizing their dedicated efforts to preserve and share Idaho history and honor local heritage. Idaho State Journal

- ➤ The Montpelier Ranger District is implementing prescribed burns in the Strawberry Canyon area until May 31—meant to reduce tree density and accumulated fuels—and smoke may be visible along highway 36. KPVI

- ➤ Starting May 10, Idaho residents living outside city limits must get a free burn permit for most outdoor burning until October 20 to meet state law and reduce wildfire risks — permits are available immediately online or at local Department of Lands offices. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
- ➤ Early voting for the May 20th election began on May 5th in counties offering early voting—voters may cast ballots until May 16th. Idaho State Journal
