- ➤ Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle crash on April 19th at 7:37 a.m. on northbound Interstate 15 near mile marker 77 north of Pocatello when a 2009 Peterbilt truck from Montana hit a stopped 2015 Ford Explorer before colliding with a 2019 Honda Accord, blocking northbound lanes for almost four and a half hours. - ➤ Residents expressed grief and anger at the city council meeting on Thursday over the police shooting of 17-year-old Victor Perez, who was shot on April 5 and died on April 12—community members demanded justice from police while council members said they could not comment due to an ongoing investigation and pending litigation. - ➤ The Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 and Irving Middle School will hold an open house to celebrate 100 years of learning on Tuesday, April 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Irving Middle School, 911 N. - ➤ City councilman Josh Mansfield attended his final meeting and will resign on May 1 to attend law school at Brigham Young University in Provo—he spent 18 months preparing for the LSAT and signed a lease for a new home. Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad and the council will appoint a replacement to serve until January 8 with applications accepted until 5 p.m. April 30. East Idaho News
