Idaho State University will offer a new bachelor’s degree in artificial intelligence this fall; the program is a joint effort by the Mathematics and Statistics and Computer Science Departments (it includes two concentrations, one for theory and one for practical skills) as AI jobs are predicted to grow.

PCSD 25 named Benjamin Cody as principal of Century High School, effective July 1 — he brings fourteen years of experience and lifelong community ties from Pocatello to continue the school's strong leadership.

He succeeds retired principal Sheryl Brockett who served the school for many years.

The Monarch building, a historic brick structure in downtown Pocatello, will be demolished this summer due to safety concerns after years of decay.

The Pocatello Development Authority plans the removal to clear the way for new development.
