- ➤ The Portneuf Valley Interfaith Fellowship is hosting a grocery store food drive today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fred Meyer, Ridley's and Albertson's in Pocatello — volunteers at each location will collect non-perishable food donations as part of the Idaho Foodbank feeding the Five Thousand families Operation. - ➤ PMC is launching a new air rescue program in Pocatello and a local child has been invited to name the helicopter that may one day save lives + The program partners with a national team to boost local emergency support. Idaho State Journal

- ➤ Jumbos, the longtime family-run restaurant known for huge portions since 1966, is expanding with a new food truck at 4539 South 5th Ave (while still serving at Ross Park Aquatic Complex) as owner Heidi Hunsaker confirms its classic menu remains unchanged. East Idaho News

- ➤ LA Semiconductor LLC laid off 342 employees, with the first wave on April 10 + a second wave planned for May 1. Pocatello officials, including Mayor Mark Dahlquist, remain optimistic as they work with Idaho Commerce to secure a buyer for the troubled facility. Local News 8
