- ➤ Crews are finishing a new exhibit hall at the Bannock County Fairgrounds for the fair in August. The building will offer a large space for exhibits—kitchen, meeting rooms, restrooms and office space for staff to support fair activities. Local News 8

- ➤ Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal crash on April 2 when a Ford F150 crossed the center line on US91 north of Shelley and hit a Honda CR-V–killing both occupants and blocking lanes for three hours while the truck driver was taken to a hospital. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
- ➤ A 20-year-old motorcyclist from Pocatello was hospitalized after colliding with a car on W. Chubbuck Road just before 7 PM Wednesday when a 53-year-old driver from Chubbuck failed to yield—Idaho State Police are investigating the crash. Local News 8
- ➤ Idaho State Police are investigating a collision on West Chubbuck Road on Wednesday at 6:48 p.m. when a 2002 Harley Davidson hit a 2013 Infiniti QX56 driven by a 53-year-old woman who did not yield— a 20-year-old motorcyclist from Pocatello was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital. East Idaho News

- ➤ Mayor Brian Blad and the City Council will host a Town Hall Meeting Tuesday, April 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 911 North 7th Avenue; city officials will review summer activities for the Marshall Public Library plus the Parks and Recreation Department and offer two-minute question and answer sessions for pre-registered speakers. - ➤ During its Burn & Learn Training on March 31 and April 1, the Pocatello Fire Department burned a vacant house at 3534 Jason Avenue so firefighters could practice attack and ventilation coordination; property owner Brandon Desfosses joined later and said his donation helps avoid demolition costs while paving the way for planned townhomes. - ➤ Governor Brad Little signed the Idaho Constitutional Money Act of 2025 on March 24 in Boise—reaffirming that gold and silver are legal tender. The law passed with strong support in both the House and Senate and is a step toward sound money policies in the state. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
