- ➤ Zoo Idaho partnered with Marshall Public Library to join the ACT program that helps families visit the zoo on a budget. Two family passes will be available for pickup each Monday from Mar. 30 through Aug. 31 at the library. East Idaho News
- ➤ On Tuesday morning, the Light the World Giving Machine distributed checks to local nonprofits after raising $960,534 from more than 95,000 visitors over 48 days, benefiting groups like Care USA and United Way + showcasing strong community support. Local News 8
- ➤ In a bid to ease school lunch debt, local friends and business leaders launched a challenge Sunday for Pocatello-Chubbuck School District 25, clearing $6,100 in two days and aiming to double this amount. A fundraiser featuring singer Shandi Michelle will be held Saturday at Wanderlust (owners will match tips). East Idaho News

- ➤ Raising Cane’s opened its newest restaurant Tuesday morning in Chubbuck at Yellowstone Avenue and Bullock Street, drawing over 125 people hoping to win prizes and free chicken. The eatery donated $1,000 to School District 25 and operates Sunday–Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.—Friday and Saturday until 2:00 a.m. KPVI
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On March 30, INL researchers advanced recycling methods that use less energy and chemicals to recover important metals from waste. Their work may help build a domestic supply chain for items (like batteries and chips) used in everyday life. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
- ➤ Bannock County will host Household Hazardous Waste Days on Saturday, April 4 at Fort Hall Mine Landfill from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.—a free program to protect local drinking water. - ➤ The Portneuf Valley Environmental Fair will be held on April 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lookout Point, featuring 80+ exhibitors, interactive activities, free food, and a kid's area with a scavenger hunt and a mobile museum. KPVI
