  • Bannock Youth Foundation and the Leavitt Center are hosting a free family art night in Pocatello — centered on 'What family means to me' — to give local families a creative space together.  Idaho State Journal
  • Lauren Egbert of the Child Maternity and Baby Store started a Shared with Love pantry to offer donated diapers, wipes, formula and baby food to families in need; donations can be dropped off at 387 Yellowstone Ave.  KPVI
  • The largest home and garden show in town, the Pocatello Spring Fair opened Thursday at the Idaho State University ICCU Dome and continues through today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Vendors offer home upgrades and diverse food truck options (Greek, Mexican, crepes, and more) for shoppers looking to compare bids.  East Idaho News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • On March 26, the Idaho Department of Education announced a first-of-its-kind public-private partnership with INL, Idaho STEM Action Center, Microsoft, Micron, and Stukent to boost AI education in K-12 schools.   • Bannock County and Portneuf Valley Development are seeking resident input on the potential for advanced nuclear energy following a recent Idaho National Laboratory study.   • Pocatello High School senior Abby Lusk left a lasting mark this season by leading the Thunder to consecutive state championships and earning her second All-State Player of the Year award. The 6-foot-2 star (renowned for her team spirit) has signed with Gonzaga for next fall.  East Idaho News
