ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday evening, Pocatello firefighters answered an 8:45 p.m. call from a home in the 400 block of North Seventh Avenue after noticing smoke and flames from a burning shed near power lines and contained the blaze by 9:04 p.m., stopping it from reaching the main residence as Idaho Power shut off nearby lines and restored service after a brief outage. East Idaho News

- ➤ Local restaurant Melted Magic opened in November inside Dude’s Market on Main Street in Historic Downtown and serves comfort food including grilled cheese, loaded fries, mac and cheese, breakfast burritos, crepes and boba drinks. Owner Vickie Santiago said the business expanded from a popular breakfast grilled cheese sold at the Farmers Market and is open six days a week—closed on Mondays. KPVI
- ➤ Aquatic Oasis, an aquarium supply and exotic pet store owned by Ross Gregersen, is relocating from Pine Ridge Mall due to upcoming renovations planned by SimonCRE—local community members have rallied with raffles and donations to help move hundreds of saltwater fish, coral, reptiles and supplies as the store prepares to reopen at a new location in the coming months. - ➤ Dr. Charles Peterson launched his 'Snakes of Idaho' exhibition at the Idaho Museum of Natural History on the ISU campus to encourage conservation of the state's 12 native snake species. The exhibit features photos taken as far back as 1972 to show the role of snakes in controlling pests and will run until August. Local News 8
