COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Chubbuck Food Truck Park will open April 3 at Patriot Square and feature a variety of food trucks for local residents to try.  Idaho State Journal
  • Curbside Cravings will launch a weekly food truck event at Lookout Point (426 W. Lewis Street) on April 20 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will continue every Monday through summer while organizers invite vendors to join the lineup.  East Idaho News

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Stones Auto Group has expanded into Wyoming by acquiring Teton Motors in Jackson Hole, adding Stones Subaru and Stones Chevrolet to its trusted lineup. The Loveland family expressed excitement to serve more customers in the region (since 1966).  East Idaho News
  • Swire Coca-Cola, USA announced that it will build a new eastern Idaho facility to consolidate its Pocatello and Idaho Falls operations near Shelley next year. The modernized plant will replace two aging sites and is set for completion in 2027.  East Idaho News
  • Crispy Cones has opened in the Gate City, offering custom ice cream flavors that change weekly + creative confections to delight local palates.  Idaho State Journal

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in Idaho rose to an average of $4.11 per gallon on Monday, with Pocatello stations listing $4.10—a 41-cent jump from the week before. AAA Idaho said rising crude oil costs from Middle East conflict are pushing prices higher (statewide figures show similar trends).  East Idaho News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Idaho State University's L.S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy earned national recognition after achieving a 97.9% licensing pass rate in 2025, ranking among the top five schools nationwide (only 12 of 142 programs met the 95% threshold).  KPVI

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Bannock County posted several job openings in Pocatello on March 20, including roles in law enforcement and office administration such as Deputy Sheriff – Detention and part-time Administrative Assistant. HEALTH NEWS

  • Local health officials reported a rise in HIV diagnoses in Eastern and Southeastern Idaho with seven cases recorded from January to March. They are closely monitoring the situation and advising residents to get tested and follow preventive measures.  Idaho State Journal
  • Local health officials reported that HIV cases have risen in East Idaho and say they will expand testing and care services. They urge residents to follow guidelines + seek testing if needed.  Post Register

  • Local high school baseball and softball teams played in town during spring break and now feature in a weekly photo contest. Voters will pick the best image by noon tomorrow — the winner will serve as next week’s header.  East Idaho News
