- ➤ On Jan. 5, 2025, Lucy Randleas suffered a snowboarding accident at Pebble Creek Ski Area near Inkom that left her paralyzed but later experienced a miraculous recovery. Idaho State Journal
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Steven Greenleaf Blodgett, 67, of Pocatello was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute meth after officers executed search warrants—one on his rental car that found about four pounds of meth and another on his home that uncovered a loaded firearm and drug evidence—and he pleaded guilty on November 19, 2024. East Idaho News
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bannock County has changed its recycling program so that the drop-off centers at the Fort Hall Mine Landfill and McCammon Transfer Station no longer accept plastic—this change is due to contamination concerns and does not affect the City of Pocatello’s curbside recycling service. - ➤ On March 19, Idaho Fish and Game tranquilized and relocated a female moose and her calf from a Riverside neighborhood after a report of three wandering moose—officials said the operation kept both residents and animals safe. Idaho State Journal
