COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The ISU TKE fraternity is hosting a charity car show at Frazier Hall parking lot on Apr. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Entry costs $25 will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and free grilled cheese sandwiches are provided.)  KPVI
  • After the 2025 Christmas season, the Light the World Giving Machines campaign presented checks to 16 local nonprofits (supporting community services) by turning holiday donations into funds for essential programs.  Idaho State Journal
  • Bannock County invites community members to name a new mosquito abatement pesticide drone by joining a bracket-style contest on its social media pages beginning Tuesday, March 24. Entries must be family friendly and limited to 25 characters, with the final championship on Monday, April 6 — and the winner announced the following day.  KPVI

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Friends of the Marshall Public Library is hosting a book sale Friday until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the community room and lobby; 2,000–3,000 books (hardcover $2, paperback $1) are available as part of its 30th anniversary celebration.  East Idaho News
  • The Comedy Project, a local non-profit (TCP), is hosting its annual Improvathon at Westside Players from Thursday to Saturday. Today, shows run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and feature over 26 hours of improv performances with interactive audience segments.  Local News 8
  • Tonight, the Idaho State Civic Symphony features guest artist 'Bad Snacks' — a Boston producer known for violin-infused electronic music — performing at 7:30 p.m. at the Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the Stephens Performing Arts Center to attract new audiences.  KPVI

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in Idaho are expected to pass $4 per gallon today as AAA reports the average at $3.98, up 14 cents since Wednesday and 47 cents from a week ago, with the increase linked to the conflict in the Middle East.  KPVI

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Pocatello invites residents to join an open house and online survey as it develops a 10-year neighborhood plan for the university area. Community input will shape future improvements in the region.  Idaho State Journal

HEALTH NEWS

  • Idaho lawmakers are considering temporary funding to restore ACT mental health services — the plan, approved by the Joint Millennium Fund Committee, relies on state funds and potential settlement dollars and awaits further approvals to support services through 2027.  Local News 8

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Galactic Grill offers pizzas + burgers, chicken sandwiches, and wings with unique sauces at Outer Limits Fun Zone inside Westwood Mall. It is open Tuesday to Thursday from 2 to 10 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. for dine-in and takeout orders.  East Idaho News
