EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Idaho State University is hosting the Construction Combine (April 2 and 3) and invites interested registrants to apply. Applications must be submitted by the deadline (March 21) to secure a spot. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
- ➤ Highland High School is holding a groundbreaking today for its rebuild nearly two years after a devastating fire. School district leaders, students, faculty, media and local officials gathered at the ceremony to begin construction on a safer, modern building. Idaho State Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Pocatello is hosting an open house today from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenacres Elementary — inviting residents to help shape a 15-year plan for the Alameda area's development. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
- ➤ The City of Pocatello Parks and Recreation Department and the Southeast Idaho Skatepark Association announced the final design for Optimist Skatepark and will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Friday, March 21 at noon near North 8th Avenue and East Sherman Street. Artisan Skateparks will start construction early April on a park sized 7000 to 8000 square feet with a large bowl, quarter pipe, stairs, rails and ledges — additional funding includes $500000 from ARPA and a $25000 donation for extra features. 8 AM - 2 PM — Oregon Trail Shooting Range — $25 entry fee plus range fee — Compete in a monthly rimfire match with a focus on precision shooting.
