  • At KATZ Wedding and Formal Wear on South Main Street, owner Katrina Evans launched a program that lets underprivileged students borrow donated dresses and tuxedos for school dances by paying only a $25 cleaning fee & providing a referral from a teacher or counselor.  East Idaho News

  • A ribbon cutting for Iron Dynasty Gym was held Tuesday after the gym opened on February 1. Co-owner Lloyd Welch said the new 24-hour facility at 12679 W. Go Way Ave in Pocatello offers bodybuilding classes, youth programs and memberships starting at $30—discounted rates apply for first responders and military.  KPVI

CRIME NEWS

  • Steven Greenleaf Blodgett, 67, of Pocatello was sentenced today to 10 years in federal prison for methamphetamine trafficking—Acting U.S. Attorney Justin Whatcott made the announcement.  Idaho State Journal

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho will host its first-ever Off-the-Wall Art Sale on March 28-29, offering original paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, and more by local artists. The event will have free admission and runs Friday from 10 AM-6 PM and Saturday from 10 AM-4 PM.  Local News 8
  • 311 from Omaha—an alternative rock band—will play at The Port on August 16 as part of its Unity Tour to support its album Full Bloom, which has a Top 20 title track. Tickets for the show will be available via ETIX on March 21 at 10 a.m. and general tour tickets start Tuesday at noon.  Local News 8
  • 311 is set to perform on August 16 at the Portneuf Health Trust Amphitheater in Pocatello — ticket sales open Friday at 10:00 a.m. and the band will be joined by special guests Badflower and Sitting on Saturn.  KPVI

  • The Idaho Museum of Natural History on the ISU campus will host the 'Snakes of Idaho' lecture today at 7 p.m. led by Dr. Charles (Chuck) Peterson + registration is required. He will discuss the state's 12 native snake species and their roles in pest control + tickets cost $3 for the general public.  Local News 8
