- ➤ Last Friday a delegation from Novovorontsovka, Ukraine visited to sign a memorandum of understanding with city officials (including police, fire, water, and utility leaders) and to thank locals for their support with a gala held at the Purpose Building in Historic Downtown. KPVI
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Idaho State University held its annual Falling for You climbing event on Thursday at Reed Gym where students brought a plus one — tackling a 30 foot wall together. The wall will host a milk crate stacking event on March 13 and a repelling clinic on March 19. KPVI
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ CS Beef Packers, LLC recalled about 22,912 lbs of raw ground beef due to possible E. coli O145 contamination after tests at a downstream foodservice client. The recalled products were produced on Jan. 14, 2026 and shipped to distributors in Idaho, California and Oregon with no reported illnesses. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer

- ➤ The Rim Rock building (on South 5th Avenue) was demolished on Thursday, ending years of history on the south side. Jumbo's X-press Cafe said its food trailer will pause service for several weeks while work on the property continues. KPVI
