- ➤ The 19th Annual Sportsmen Against Hunger event will be held Jan. 31 + Feb. 1 at the C-A-L Ranch store in Chubbuck from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The free event will offer raffle tickets and kid-friendly activities while local organizations share conservation tips and raise funds for the Idaho Foodbank. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ AAA reported that gas prices in Idaho increased last week, with the average price reaching $2.78 per gallon & up two cents from the previous week. Nationally, the average rose to $2.88 amid a winter lull and low crude oil costs. KPVI
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Pocatello schools, along with those in Chubbuck and Fort Hall, will start the Mayor’s Million Minute Marathon on February 1, tracking reading minutes until February 28. Each school uses distributed sheets to compete for $500 prizes in three categories (including a visit from Mayor Dahlquist). Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
