EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game and the Idaho Museum of Natural History are hosting a free class (Surviving Winter) on Saturday, Jan. 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. on the ISU campus in Pocatello to teach all ages about wildlife adaptations and fun, interactive activities. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Work on Center Street Underpass is underway as Cannon Builders and Civil Science install soldier pile shoring in Historic Downtown Pocatello — pedestrian access stays open via the north tunnel while crews prepare major safety and aesthetic upgrades. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
- ➤ City and state offices are closed today for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and city offices will reopen tomorrow. Idaho State University and Idaho Fish and Game offices are also closed — garbage collection runs on schedule in Pocatello while Blackfoot's will be delayed. KPVI
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Officials at Portneuf Medical Center (in Pocatello) and Bingham Memorial Hospital (in Blackfoot) announced today the Biopsy Catchment program to improve solid tumor care for patients. The program will streamline diagnosis and treatment. Post Register
