  • Barricade Arcade Bar is expanding into the space behind Chubby’z on Center Street + Second Avenue to add games, a stage and more events. The renovations, including wall patches and painting, will finish in a couple of weeks, with a grand opening planned once the work is complete.  KPVI

CULTURE NEWS

  • A new painting honoring Chief Pocatello was presented to the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes at Fort Hall, and the artwork captures his regal spirit + celebrates his lasting legacy through upcoming cultural displays.  Idaho State Journal

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Idaho Department of Education’s fall report shows SD25 ranks among the top large districts for both graduation and literacy scores, based on the Idaho K–12 Report Card. District officials say the strong numbers reflect consistent efforts to improve student performance in the area.  Idaho State Journal

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Work is underway on the Center Street Underpass Project in Historic Downtown to boost safety and accessibility. Crews from Cannon Builders are installing soldier pile shoring while the north pedestrian tunnel remains open — residents and businesses are thanked for their patience as the city prepares further improvements.  Local News 8
