- ➤ Students at 158 Idaho elementary schools, including those in Pocatello, will receive free fruit and vegetable snacks outside regular meal times under the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. Grants delivered through a competitive process support healthy eating for the 2025-2026 school year. Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer
- ➤ Miss Blackfoot Teen will visit local schools to share her mental health message and promote self-love while preparing for the Miss Idaho Teen Competition. The tour will reach several schools in the region. Idaho State Journal
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A local family is bringing a youth substance abuse and mental health facility to Pocatello to support high-risk youth. The nonprofit will host a donation drive (Jan. 10 and 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at 772 Fir St as it prepares for an opening later this year. KPVI
