Inkom author to sign book in Pocatello

POCATELLO — Inkom author and former city chief financial officer Eugene Hill will sign copies of his book "Grace in the Hardest Seasons: Depression-Era Wisdom for a Volatile Economy" from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at Hares & Hatters Bookshop, 200 S. Main St., Suite G.

The book draws on the practices of Hill's father's generation — trade skills, food security, community ties, financial flexibility and where a family chooses to live — and argues they apply again as artificial intelligence reshapes white-collar work.

Hill spent his career in corporate and municipal finance and now heads AI Datum. While writing the book, he earned a commercial driver's license, saying he would not recommend learning a trade without doing it himself.

The event follows a signing at Walrus & Carpenter Books in October. Hill said he plans no formal presentation and will spend the evening talking with attendees.

The event is free and open to the public. Information is available at griteconomy.com.
